Enterprise Architect

About the business

A large Australian organisation working through a broad technology and business change agenda. The architecture function needs someone who can bring structure to complex decisions and carry the commercial case with senior leaders.

The opportunity

This is an enterprise architecture role for someone who is comfortable moving between the detail and the executive room. You will shape the target-state direction, turn competing priorities into a roadmap, and help the organisation make better calls across platforms, integration, cloud and data.

The consulting lean matters. You need to ask good questions, work from an incomplete brief, build a position quickly and bring senior stakeholders with you. The role carries influence across technology and the wider business, with room to set direction from a broad starting point.

What you'll own

Enterprise direction. Define the target state, principles and roadmap that connect technology choices to the organisation's wider priorities.

Decision support. Frame options, trade-offs and investment choices so executives can make informed calls on cost, risk and value.

Stakeholder consulting. Lead workshops, draw out what the business needs and build agreement across senior technology and business leaders.

Design governance. Set the standards and decision forums that keep delivery aligned without adding unnecessary process.

What you'll bring

• Enterprise or solution architecture experience across a complex organisation or consulting environment.

• A consulting style that gets from a broad question to a clear position and practical next step.

• Commercial acumen and confidence discussing investment, risk and value with executives.

• Breadth across applications, integration, cloud and data, with the judgement to go deeper where the decision needs it.

• Executive presence, clear writing and the ability to make complex architecture understandable without flattening the detail.
